Free Party Solidarity: Legal Funds, Fundraisers, and Support for Collectives
Free party culture is going through one of the hardest periods in its history. Between gear seizures, legal fees, endless proceedings and constant pressure, many collectives find themselves alone facing enormous costs.
Behind every wall of sound there are people who give everything: time, money, energy and often their own equipment, to keep alive a movement that is free, independent and non-profit. A movement that made us dance, vibrate, travel, and that shaped a whole generation.
Today, it's our turn to support them.
This page gathers the fundraisers, legal funds, associations and resources to help sound systems, those facing charges, collectives in difficulty and everyone fighting to keep this culture alive.
Taking action without spending a penny
Not everyone can give. These two actions cost nothing, take two minutes, and carry weight at the moment it matters.
Sign the official petition against bill 1133
A petition is open on the French National Assembly's website: "Withdrawal of bill no. 1133 on rave parties: in defence of our fundamental freedoms, hands off our parties!". The bill it targets aims to turn organising an undeclared gathering into a criminal offence, with confiscation of equipment on top.
It's hosted by the Assembly itself, so it genuinely counts. At 100,000 signatures, it can be sent back to committee and take on another dimension. It's currently at a little under half that, and it stays open for several years.

Contact your MP about the RIPOST law
RIPOST is a different, broader piece of legislation. It was passed by the National Assembly on 15 July 2026 by 366 votes to 182, reinstating the offence of organising and taking part in a free party, which had nonetheless been struck out in committee. A joint committee of MPs and senators still has to meet, followed by a final vote expected in the coming days.
This text broadens the definition of organiser so far that transporting gear, lending a hand with logistics or running a rest area can be enough. Harm reduction teams, who operate as part of a public health mission, are affected too.
