Réduction des risques en free party : le guide

Risk reduction in free parties: the guide

Rave all night without losing your skin: the real guide

You’re at a party to dance, vibe, disconnect. But a night of partying can quickly go off track if you don’t have the right reflexes. This guide is not to judge you. It’s so you come back whole. Because enjoying is better when it lasts.

1. Drinking (water) is fundamental

Your body heats up. You sweat. You dance for hours. In short: you get dehydrated. And drugs, alcohol, glitter... don’t help.

  • ✅ Drink at least 1 sip every 20 minutes
  • ✅ Avoid strong alcohol + heat + continuous sound
  • ✅ Don’t rely on your thirst to remind you to drink. You’ll already be dry.

2. Food = fuel

Eating is not cheating. It’s surviving. Even a piece of bread or a banana is always better than nothing.

  • ✅ Take something salty and something sweet
  • ✅ Plan an easy-to-digest snack (apple, bars, dried fruits)
  • ✅ If you consume, your body burns everything faster. Feed it.

3. Sleep, you will need it

One sleepless night hits hard. Two, you lose track. Three… you float in another dimension.

  • ✅ Try to take a quiet break
  • ✅ A 20-minute nap can change everything
  • ✅ The comedown will be a thousand times smoother if you’ve slept a bit

4. Gear that can save you

  • ✔️ Earplugs: so you don’t end up with lifelong tinnitus
  • ✔️ Saline solution: for dry eyes, nasal use
  • ✔️ Condoms + gel: pleasure ≠ hassle
  • ✔️ Sugar: to avoid fainting
  • ✔️ Gloves, bandages, warm vest: this is not a hotel
  • ✔️ Headlamp: a party is often in complete darkness

5. If you consume: inform yourself

We’re not going to moralize you. But knowing what you take is the least you can do.

  • ✅ Use a test if you can
  • Avoid weird combos like MDMA + alcohol + ketamine + benzos
  • Start small. Always. And wait.
  • ✅ Don’t take everything you’re given. You don’t know what it is.

6. Spotting a bad trip / danger

You see someone who…

  • Breathes badly or faints?
  • Doesn’t respond or is delirious?
  • Trembles, convulses, or acts wildly?

⚠️ It’s not a "trip," it’s an emergency.

  • Call emergency services (15 or 112)
  • ✅ Put the person in recovery position (PLS) if unconscious
  • ✅ Stay calm. Speak softly. Stay close to them.
  • ✅ Don’t wait for it to pass. It can get worse very fast.

7. Respect for others = respect for yourself

  • 🙅‍♀️ No inappropriate gestures. No pressure.
  • 🧠 If someone says no, it’s no. Even under influence.
  • 🚻 Help lost people. Bring them to chill or the stand.
  • 🧯 Be attentive: a party is collective.

8. Chill & RdR stand: safe zones

If you need to catch your breath, talk, lie down, get advice or a glass of water, the risk reduction stand or the chill-out are there for you.

No need to have taken anything to go there. It’s not a police post. It’s people who watch out. Trained. Caring. There so you come back alive.

9. On the road, no foolishness

You want to drive after 3 days without sleep? Bad idea.

  • ✅ Plan a sober and rested driver
  • ✅ Watch out for country roads
  • ✅ If in doubt, sleep. Even in the car.

10. And if you’re tired of playing the warrior?

It’s okay. No one forces you to stay up 72 hours, to consume, to travel the world in flip-flops. You can set your limits. Sleep. Say no. Disappear for a moment. Come back later.

It’s not a competition. It’s a party. And you have the right to live it at your own pace.
